Infants

Caterpillar Room

The Caterpillar room is our infant space. It is able to accommodate up to ten infants when three teachers are present. We typically accommodate eight infants with two teachers on a daily basis. This room has running water making  it convenient to wash hands and prepare foods for the infants without needing to leave the classroom.

There are designated spaces for all of the different needs that an infant would require during the day; diapering, feeding, active play, rest and sleeping.

The Little Blossoms

The Little Blossom room is what we like to call the "transitional room" the children are too active for the infant space, but not quite big enough for the older toddlers yet. It is licensed to hold six kids at one time. This room has a portable sink so that we can wash hands during the day. There are designated spaces for active play centers, diapering, and learning.

During meal times this group goes down to the dining room to eat.

Outside Space

We have a large fenced in playard adjacent to our building. Here the children have many different options for large muscle movement activities. On the far side of the playground we have sectioned off a garden area where the children help us plant, water, and harvest our own small crops.
